Shires rally an forum friends...
Took Freya's little diesel down to the Shires rally this weekend, the bike show there is second to none with some proper mind blowing stuff on display, I done about 160 miles in total with no real problems with the bike so I'm happy
, I also ran into Sam (sbrumby) and superacedude off our forum here an had a good natter about our common hobby, Sams 950cc bike is awsome and shook the ground when he started it up, goes well too at 80-90 MPH, I'll be reading your build thread soon as I can mate, I'm proper impressed by your work
an superacedude is a real clever guy who has some great ideas and is really keen to get going (his Ideas where going over my head !) Really good to meet you lads, On the way home I stopped off for a brew an met another guy who's just read my thread an we talked diesels, he's a long time lurker here but has'nt joined, he's got the same 950cc engine as shrumby and is also nearly ready to start his build,I described how Sam had done his gearbox and could almost see the cogs going around in his head
so come on mate, theres the red pill an the blue pill, take the blue pill and forget everything, but take the red pill and....you'll spend all your money on diesel bikes an spend the next year in the shed and start a very interesting journey
sorry I cant remember your name so give yourself a forum name an join us !

That's brill Dougy
It wasn't long ago that I would go to events such as the local Ardingly Classic Motorcycle Show and be the only Diesel biker there - but things have started changing. I have met Nick with his Charnwood Hatz 350 there every time since and recently Guzzi Ray has been turning up on his home made & so called 'snot pump'
(he only really does FB & not this forum though.) So last time there three of us were chatting about the scene
So good to see like minded guys coming together all over and influencing other bikers who are keen & capable. There is nobody more capable than Sam as he is full of ideas and still our most prolific diesel motorcycle builder here in the UK.
