Beckedorf V2 Enfield

Post by Stuart »

Just about to head off for the rally here but thought I'd post up some links from the German site regarding the Beckedorf Enfield V2 Diesel bike. Don't know too much about it but looks as it it could offer a few more much sought after horses :)

I've been looking at this engine to see if I could put it in, basically it is a 2 cylinder version of the yanmar clone engines available from china 20hp at 3600 rpm.
very interesting,

henry Price.

Thats quite a bike, wonder who makes the gear box? If someone could get a bike like that into production, lots would sell :D

Wonder if the frame is up to holding the engine weight?

Hi Stuart

Nicely done, as I never thought the Enfield frame was big enough! I tell you there's times when an extra 10HP would be great

These V2 engines have not made it over here in OZ yet, but would like to get my hands on one if they ever do.

Cheers mate, all the best for the Rally, have a cold one for me

balboa_71-
the gearbox is enfield. i'm looking at their 5 spd box for another diesel bike i'm doing. in the US they retail for $499+ shipping. (usd) wondering if anyone here can grab them cheaper in the uk or india?
i have the punsun here ready to go into a bike for a mate. he's deciding whether the enfield gearbox or cvt.
and to henryprince- you CAN put it in. no worries. pull the welder over and have at it. she'll fit.
would love to talk specs on the bikes if anyone wishes.that punsun looks pretty sexy in a bike!

Rover,
$500 for a 5 speed gear box is a nice price. The Punsun twin and that box would be a great combination (IMHO).

This is some excellent information. Can you tell me how you got the Punsun? I'm wondering where I can source one from since I have blown my gas motor and now have an excuse for my Winter project.
