Royal Enfield weekend

Post by Stuart »

Jeff & I are going to try and make the Royal Enfield bash at the Watsonian Factory on the 25th 26th of June. I may not be able to do Stafford this year if it's on?

I randomly ended up here on the Sat about lunchtime / Early afternoon in the VW bike complete with trailer and dog.
They had a bunch of cheap stuff that was apparently stripped off their import bikes.

Got the impression that they didn't like the diesel Enfield conversions at all. :?
Kubota Z482 which is plodding on with unnerving reliability. Three years so far.
1900 Diesel Bike being rebuilt with better clutch control.

Hope you got the message we weren't going! They said no campinmg so no point going. They hate the diesels - told me they can't keep the parts for other engines.

I saw this thread a bit late. I would have gone and exhibited my failed crank with the case hardening flaking off the crankpin, you know the ones that don't go wrong.

That would have been good to see Larry  The whole thing is a sales drive rather than an enthusiasts meet so they've loved you showing something like that :!:

With a bit of organising I could have had a selection on display, as Henry has several, and in fact now does his own repair/upgrade which is what I now have.
