Yippee

about one year after the return of my "ecologic adventure " finally the book is ready: about 19 x 23 cm 48 pages screwed together between aluminum bars. It can be ordered per e-mail at: dun.can@web.de for 20.-€ in the European Community and 25.-€ for the rest of the world.

Please let me know how many miles / kilometres had the clutch done to get to that awful state.
Looking at your map on your website, it looks like you rode your bike for 5000 kilometres / 3105 miles or so.
Is this the first time you have had the clutch apart? Did you buy the clutch from new?

first time yes but normally the clutch has no problem if it is well adjusted and regularly greased (at least once a year) If you got the videos I think you found the manual somewhere on the german enfield forum http://www.royal-enfield-forum.de/index.php I just lost my password

Not my intention to mock you. I've been using GT a lot lately to talk to a Frenchie. Mixed results.

But I guess Arno claims Bob Newby's are great as long as you lubricate them on time. Obviously your experiences are a bit different, to put it mildly. Amazing they sell the PoS for 400quid. Or was it 500?

Nanko has suggested to put the Enfield clutch in the lathe, mill off the sprocket teeth and press a belt sprocket (hello GT) over it. But I'm not sure how it would pan out. The diameters he had were too small in the end.

My clutch has not been broken when I took those pictures.

It is just a fact to have it to grease after a year or overheating (I killed one clutch after 2 Years zero maintainence and 15.000 km)
