We had very good weather saturday at Hamm.
I thought to see stuarts bike, but not the owner.. I suspected him to be hiding behind a glass of the local beer.
The morning alarm was present in the form of an attention-asking donkey.
The pigs were there only for show.
I did get a ride on a fylly electric yamaha r1, a very special experience.
The ride home was very wet.. the rear chain had no oil left, but was luckily replaced by sand..

It turned out it was an inner tube, and no way could I have done the job myself. I had to jack up my car and drop it on the tyre to break the bead. The little gadget above cost just £2.30, if only I knew these things existed I could have made it all the way.

New inner tube and gadget ordered, a tin of instant repair is on the cards too.

I had a great time at Hamm, thanks to all, my bike never missed a beat the whole trip. I think i covered around 800 miles, so who's off to the elephant next year?

Ian: The Elephant Rally is usually held in the depths of winter over there somewhere. Only nutters need apply

This is a new topic, is it?

The Elefant Ralley is not planned yet, anyway I plan to ride to the jokkmokksmarknad with a friend which is a weekend later. On the Weekend when the Elefant is, there is also the Savalen ralley. Anyway Elefant has the charme of only 300 km journey so if I feel bad or my wallet feels so, it is an option.

I also plan to travel to the Ratbike Wintertreffen on the second weekend in december, which is, this year, in Sachsen.

We made it to Hamm after all...

Just a shame it was a couple of weeks late! We got rained on for 3 days after too. Currently in Turkey hoping to jump into Iran tomorrow (gulp)
