Haven't actually tried it but I did think that the transmission of a mid 90's 2wd Polaris might have good possibilities for the same reasons. I also thought that the new artic cat diesel 4 wheeler would be a great donor to the diesel bike complete with calibrated CVT and Lombardini twin..... It will...

I've also thought of a 2 speed ATV gear box from a mid 90's Polaris 4 ATV. Would at least give you High /Low and already set up for CVT. Won't be able to shift on the fly but maybe coud use low for around town and High for the Highway. Whatcha think?

Do you have drawings of this so you could reproduce this. Possibly sell it as a kit?? I wouldn't be able to use that right now but would be a nice peice for future options. And it would be something that I could produce myself.
Just thinkin out loud, you know

Gentlmen, I've noticed that here in the States alot of atvs use a high/low gearbox. Alot of the ones in the mid 90's were 2 wheel drive and even had reverse (not that you need it, but hey why not) these were already set up for CVT transmisions also. I'v e seen a number of them on ebay and you could ...
