Re: GT550 / Lombardini Feasibilty Study

Well, I have listen to the great advice here and I have modified my plans. I have a 1972 Yamaha AT 125 that I think I will use instead of the GT550. First, it weighs a lot less and is mostly there but rough. I know the 260 is not going to produce much power but this little transmission would not han...

GT550 / Lombardini Feasibilty Study

I just acquired a Lombardini 6LD260 with about 20 hours on it. Looking at the service manual at: http://service.lombardinigroup.it/documents/Manuali%20Officina/English/Work%20Shop%20Manual%20GR%206%20matr%201-5302-387.pdf I see this is only about 5 hp. balance

I'm not sure I understand this post. I assumed that the bike needed to be in balance so that it was neutral when it was upright. Guzzi

I have seen a frame here and there but have little luck finding a roller for a good price. However, it certainly does look like they match u...

Rotation

I am starting my new project but I am still looking for a donor bike. I have a Mitsubishi engine that rotates counter-clockwise at the flywheel and I am looking at a BMW or Guzzi conversion. I am thinking that an airhead might work best but before I start buying parts I want to make sure of one thin...

Greetings from a new guy

Hello all, I am a new member, JD Miller from Missouri. I love the site and this is a great forum. Building a diesel bike is something I have been wanting to do for a very long time and I am so pleased so many others have thought along the same lines. I have been looking for a motor for awhile and bo...
