Re: Rally - Germ of an idea
I was at Bat and Ball last year Very good.I would have gone to Hamm but its my wifes Birthday that weekend. Re: Rally - Germ of an idea
This thread started out sugesting a mid summer meet not mid winter.
I dont think rivalry North South would be very good.First it will not encourage our overseas riders.Second we are small enough not to need to split north south in any thing we need to keep the camararderie.

Why not use that nice camp at Sangatte there are lots of nice people from all over the world camped there and you could recoup your costs bringing one of them back with you.

Re: Rally - Germ of an idea
Dave just so long as you are not intending on turning up on your Innova.I reckon that The Big park on the A14 near Kettering is central enough and the BSA crowd use that or why not the Victoria pub In Coalville Leiecestershire all the bikers use it has camping every weekend open to all.

Well it does not leak now it seemed soldered it had the colour of solder around the top.
Perhaps just annealing it in the flames worked.Where can I get another.

Re: 406 cc greeves engined Enfield
Still fixed 20 miles in heavy traffic.
The Bike had done a Thousand miles since the last problem so it was due some thing breaking or falling off.
It is amazing how much more power I have got since changing to a different air filter .I can now keep up a steady 50 .

Re: 406 cc greeves engined Enfield
Fingers leggs and everything crossed it looks like I have cured it at least for the moment .Under a magnifying glass it looked like the solder holding the ferrule to the pipe was cracked.I put that end in the Flame of my camping stove let it get very hot and the solder seems to have run into the cra...

Re: 406 cc greeves engined Enfield
The pipe does not seem cracked however the joint at the pump/pipe leaks like a sieve
I wonder if I can get another pipe in this country.
The ends look Ok as well.

Re: 406 cc greeves engined Enfield
I think I have found it after a wash to clear all the oil and a Night sitting to settle.I cranked it over without letting it start. The Diesel seems to be coming from the pipe that joins the Pump to the Injector, I think plumbers PTFE tape will do it is it Diesel proof. I cant see why it would leak i...

Re: 406 cc greeves engined Enfield
It is not actually running poorly just wont Idle it runs fine up to maximum speed but wont tick over .If i hold the throttle open it will run slowly . This happened suddenly at the end of a short run I wondered if it was the decompresor in the front letting in air. The diesel seems to come from the ...

Re: 406 cc greeves engined Enfield
seems a bit extreme adding glowing chemicals.I doubt it would do any good.
If I turn off the tank the leak stops so that takes out the tank. The pipes do not leak it seems to be coming from the front of the engine near the decompressor for stopping. Is there a fuel feed in there.

406 cc greeves engined Enfield
My bike having gone the last 100 miles with no problems nothing fallen off etc.Going well with new air filter on it. Yes Sam I like my diesel as it requires no electrics now I can kick start it . No power any old vegetable oil or Dyno diesel.Simple slow Noisy . I liked the look of the track.I am glad there are people who can do this sort of thing .However it is expensive and complicated and as you say not much use...

Re: Track T800CDI review by MCN
Another point to consider when looking at the track bike is that it would not run on vegetable oil or even Bio diesel. It has that coomon rail engine and the technical electronics set up that would preclude such use.
One of my reasons for liking my Diesel is it runs on anything.

Yes Dave is Correct.MCN has to support those who advertise in its pages and the main stream Bike manufacturers .It would not make money or even exist if it did only reviews of Diesel Bikes or came out in favour of such.Remember it has always been in this situation. In the 50s and 60s the Magazines ha...

Your bike looks the same as Mine I have an industrial air filter instead of that exhaust arangement but a cone fiter will do just as well. Was this bike on ebay a few months ago as I mailed someone with a bike exactly like that.
