Re: Removing chinese clone injector and inspect?
Unfortunately the v-twin injectors are different to the yanmar l100 injectors. And the prices(incl shipping) are a ransom! Might take punsun's offer of $90usd incl shipping...

Re: Removing chinese clone injector and inspect?
Well what do you know, the Chinese supplier just doesn't reply when I ask for a new injector under warranty. Have tried several times using several sales reps who keep referring me to the sales director, one promised to refer me to him. Also tried directly emailing the sales director. This outfit wa...

Removing chinese clone injector and inspect?
My fuel injector is leaking at the bottom and I need to see whats going on (its definately not the fuel line connection or the fuel return line). However after some rough googling I read somewhere in some diesel forum that a particular injector for a particular model shouldn't be removed by a layman...

Re: my v-twin diesel engine cant idle
I'm aware of the fuel solenoid, but it doesnt shut it down quickly.
I also thought it was pretty important to have a shut off mechanism that caps the intake of the engine to prevent a runaway situation?

Re: my v-twin diesel engine cant idle
I would suggest,as it's a V twin, not to "blip" the throttle. Being a diesel you have a lot of mass to overcome so gently open and close the throttle in a smooth manner. It is new after all so give it some time to bed in! Oh I only blip it a little, like up to 2000rpm or something. Now I ca...

Re: my v-twin diesel engine cant idle
Just an update: turns out I need to screw the allen bolts near the fuel inkectors to bleed the air out. Now the engine starts great. Just black smoke now. When idling theres absolutely no smoke. However when i blip the throttle sometimes it wont idle once I suddenly let go of the throttle, it will d...

Re: my v-twin diesel engine cant idle
the manual has instructions for how to adjust timing but it tells me there should be a mark on the engine cover when there isn't. Is it as simple as finding the angle of rotation between the fuel being squirted out? (ie...I just mark flywheel cover of a squirting point, rotate flywheel until it squi...

Re: my v-twin diesel engine cant idle
Yes I put in new oil. The only other thing that may be relevant is that there's little fuel pressure, or maybe fuel starvation. I haven't made the fuel tank yet so im just squirting 10ml of fuel into the fuel line and trying the engine out. I will post photos when i get around to it. The engine prod...

my v-twin diesel engine cant idle
Hi all, I have bought a v twin diesel clone engine. Are these things set up to idle out of the box (theres no throttle stop on mine)? I have to maintain some level of throttle to keep it from dying, does this indicate a problem? Otherwise it runs fine, it knocks but runs smooth past idle. Also, I tr...

Replacing the stock fuel tank and filter (chinese vtwin)
I was surprised to find that 3 pipes run from the engine to the fuel tank, instead of one. 2 of those pipes (one from each cylinder) are called "return oil pipes" in the manual. So im guessing the fuel tank also has an oil tank? This is not a dry sump engine, and those pipes seem tiny for ...

Re: Using enfield gearbox with centrifugal clutch
The gearboxes are sold without the clutches. Purchasing the clutches separately are another dent on my wallet.
I also prefer semi-automatics, nice middle between the CVT and the manual.

Re: Using enfield gearbox with centrifugal clutch
Thanks, just the advice I need. You're right, the enfield doesn't like clutchless gear changes. I suppose with a centrifugal clutch I have to back off the throttle every time I shift and wait until it reaches idle/near idle. A harley/ultima gearbox is ideal but it doesn't look anywhere near as simpl...

Using enfield gearbox with centrifugal clutch
Hi, I am thinking of using a enfield gearbox without the clutch and putting a input sprocket on it instead. This sprocket will be driven by a centrifugal clutch mounted on the engine shaft. ie a semi-automatic. The main issue is getting a 40/41# pitch sprocket that mounts on the enfield hex-spline l...
